What is "Platinum Silicone"?
Platinum Silicone refers to the process that is used to make the pure silicone. Often called "platinum-cured silicone," it is the highest grade available that passes all U.S. and European safety standards. Our 100% platinum silicone containers are food safe, oven safe (to 425° Fahrenheit), microwave safe, freezer safe, and dishwasher safe. Other products may claim that their product is "food safe" but unless it is pure platinum silicone, you should be cautious of how it can be safely used.

YES! They were designed for the dishwasher, so all?Carolcherry?containers have large rounded interiors for easy cleaning. Most importantly, all?Carolcherrystay wide open for better cleaning and drying! They are top or bottom rack safe too!
Are Carolcherry containers freezer safe?
Yes,?Carolcherry?containers are ideal for freezing. Our thick silicone protects your food well.
Are Carolcherry containers safe to cook with?
Yes! Microwave, bake up to 425°F, or steam in a pot of boiling water.
Can I sous vide in Carolcherry containers?
Yes!?Carolcherry?containers are great for sous vide. Because they have flat bottoms and stand up with the zipper seal at the top, they are superior to ordinary zipper bags. And, since they are made of 100% platinum silicone, they will not leach chemicals when heated like plastic bags can.
Will Carolcherry containers stain?
Most foods will not stain your?Carolcherry containers. There are a few foods, however, which can stain pure silicone such as tomato sauces and carrots. Soaking in bleach water will remove most stains. Alternatively, rub and let sit in a baking soda and vinegar mixture. Rinse well and then wash as usual.
Can I use Carolcherry containers to take soup and other liquids in my lunch box or backpack?
We do not recommend taking liquids on the go unless they can be kept upright and avoid having the sides squeezed or pressed. For all other non-liquids, simply squeeze excess air out of the?Carolcherry?container before sealing and you can safely take your?Carolcherry?containers in your bags, lunch boxes, and "on the go" anywhere.
Will sealed Carolcherry containers spill if they are knocked over?
In general, no. From our internal testing as well as our personal use over the past year, we have been thrilled with how well the seals hold during typical scenarios such as being knocked over. Because of the flexibility of silicone, they are durable and malleable when sealed. However, as stated above, we recommend liquids be kept upright to be safe.
Are Carolcherry containers air-tight and leak-proof?
We have worked tirelessly to design and engineer a silicone seal that is leak proof and air tight and we are very proud of our patent-pending design. However, due to the nature of the flexible silicone zipper, your containers may, at times, leak a small amount of air if squeezed. As stated above, we recommend that liquids be kept upright (which is simple since all?Carolcherry?containers stand up due to their sturdy flat bases).
